May your stories bud, bloom, and blossom!

Did you grow up listening to Christian music like I did? Let’s see if we grew up listening to the same ones in this music review blog post!

10. Matthew West “Strong Enough”

  • reassured that I didn’t have to be strong enough to tackle my problems but that God was and is

9. Aaron Shust “My Hope is in You”

  • that my real and true hope is in God alone

8. Brandon Heath “I’m Not Who I Was”

  • about how much I’ve changed since becoming a Christian and knowing Jesus

7. Michael W. Smith “Above All”

  • helped me prioritize God in my life

6. Phillips, Craig & Dean “Revelation Song”

  • will always remind me of when my church put on an Easter production called “The Thorn” where I played a townsperson and it ended with everyone on stage singing this song

5. Big Daddy Weave “Redeemed”

  • first song I ever remember making my cry, overwhelmed by the thought of how God saved and redeemed me

4. Matt Redman “Never Once”

  • you may have thought I was going to say “10,000 Reasons,” which is a great song, but this song holds an even more special place in my heart to remind me God has and never will leave me

3. Casting Crown “Until the Whole World Hears”

  • the first time a song encouraged me to spread the Gospel

2. Bebo Norman “Great Light of the World”

  • I’d listen to this song before bed and sing about how God’s light was greater than my fear of the dark

1. Robbie Seay Band “Song of Hope (Heaven Come Down)”

  • first song to make me want to usher Heaven to come to Earth and for Jesus to return (plus it has a catchy beat!)
