May your stories bud, bloom, and blossom!

Have you ever heard an old worship song and found it speaks to you more now than it did back then? Check and see if you’ve heard these 10 old worship songs. They just might inspire your faith in new ways as well!

10. TobyMac “Burn for You”

  • My little brother and I would jam out to his music together, but now I see the real passion in this song to be alive in Christ. And it’s on my workout playlist!

9. Jeremy Camp “Walk by Faith”

  • This song really detailed out to me for the first time what it means to walk by faith in God and not what I see. But now God is showing me that faith is a lot like my imagination, something I see in my mind and hold onto in my heart.

8. Jeremy Riddle “Sweetly Broken”

  • This song always resonated with me, but I now know what it means to be “sweetly broken,” to be fully surrendered to God.

7. Newsboys (the OG group) “He Reigns”

  • At first, this was a churchy saying, but it’s become a comforting and reassuring thought that God is truly in control and will make all things right.

6. Chris Tomlin “Jesus Messiah”

  • I loved this song because it tells the story of Jesus, but now I appreciate how it spells out the Gospel so well.

5. Steven Curtis Chapman “Cinderella”

  • Even though this isn’t a worship song, I always loved it because my dad and I would sing it together. Now that my dad’s in heaven, it encourages me that I will get to dance with him again.

4. MercyMe “Word of God Speak”

  • As a reader, I’ve always connected with God through the Bible. Now, this song encourages me to pray beforehand to hear what God wants to say to me.

3. Crowder (formerly David Crowder Band) “How He Loves”

  • Hot take–I’m for “unforeseen kiss.” This was the first worship song I ever remember moving me to tears–still does–thinking about everything Jesus went through on the cross to show how much He loves us.

2. Phil Wickham “Divine Romance”

  • I know he’s popular now, but I’ve been following him for a while and still appreciate his older songs like this one. What a beautiful way to view God’s love for us as the greatest love story ever told.

1. Third Day “Show Me Your Glory”

  • I’ve always had a close friendship with God, but now more than ever I long to see God face to face. Jesus, may You return in all Your glory soon!
