Please note: I’m on Eastern Standard time. I’ll respond as soon as I can, Mon.–Thurs. from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. and Fri. 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
If you think we’d be a good match as editor and author, send me the first chapter of your manuscript, and I’ll edit and provide feedback on the first 3 pages.
Submission Guidelines
Please see the list below before sending your manuscript, which is according to “The Chicago Manual of Style,” the gold standard of editing:
- Use Microsoft Word 2016 or a later version (not Word online).
- File name as: “Book Title,” Author Name, Genre, Subgenre.
- Insert Header with author name and “Book Title.”
- The first page of the manuscript should have “Book Title and subtitle,” genre, and author name.
- Second page:
- For Fiction: state which POV the story is in and list the characters with their first names and last names.
- For Nonfiction: list the main theme, related ideas, and the Bible translations used.
- One-inch margins all around the border.
- Double-spaced text. Single space in between where one sentence ends and the next begins.
- All text should be black, 12-point font, Times New Roman.
- All text is left-margin justification. (Just like this format here / the natural setup in Word unless you change it.)
- Chapter headings are centered, capitalized, and start on the top of the page. (Nothing should be in bold.)
- Scene breaks with (***) centered, no spaces above or below so there is text right above it and right below it.
